A tour of Italy

Italy’s the place to visit.
Ambiance afoot has gotcha
with your first stroll cross a piazza.
Every turn is just exquisite.

Locals claim, with sidewalks swelling,
foreigners not tolerating,
but they like the dollar rating
For the delicacies they’re selling.

Recipes too are fecund. Though
really all upon its own a
day spans from a colazione,
order up a big secondo.

Art inspires love and loathing
from the first annunciating
through to Thomas hesitating.
Still, Jerome should don some clothing.

All delights you, don’t ignore it.
Though you’ll feel a crippling FOMO
if you can’t get in the Duomo,
Come next year, as they restore it.
