Nightmare
bodies
more bodies
across a parking lot with no horizon
a single man paces to seek his lost dog
a car idles diagonal under the broken lamp
flaccid breasts
bloated bellies
green flesh
hockey sticks swing like spikes in a contagion
on the street where all doors sit unopened
a distracted parent peeks from a second-story window
bodies in a van
bodies under lab tables
empty seas lay paths for swift-sliding whales
coyotes sniff discarded masks in the medians of boulevards
more bodies
tagged shrouds
rows of urns
